According to the spokesperson for Ferrari, the hackers were able to access customer data, such as names, addresses, email addresses, and telephone numbers. However, the cybercriminals did not compromise bank details. The spokesperson added that as of now, no information has been released on the internet, but the company is closely monitoring the situation.

Upon receiving the ransom demand, Ferrari initiated an investigation with the help of a cybersecurity firm and informed the authorities. The company made it clear that it would not pay ransom demands, as doing so would fund criminal activity and encourage threat actors to continue their attacks. The Chief Executive Officer of Ferrari, Benedetto Vigna, has contacted clients to inform them of the incident. Ferrari underlined that it takes its clients' confidentiality seriously and recognizes the significance of the incident.
